Music that lives at the intersection of worlds.
Arian Saleh is an Iranian-American composer and recording artist whose film scores have played Sundance, Tribeca, SXSW, AFI, SIFF, and the Big Sky Documentary Festival. In 2026, he scored The Friend's House is Here, which won the Special Jury Award in U.S. Documentary Competition at Sundance — and received the inaugural Nimruz Grant for his original musical in development.
His scores are known for moving between global musical traditions with a sense of ease: Middle Eastern tonalities, tango and gypsy idioms, electronic texture, and orchestral depth all inform a compositional voice that aims to serve story rather than announce itself.
Beyond film, Saleh has scored the Emmy Award-winning documentary Blackfeet Boxing: Not Invisible for ESPN Films, collaborated with the Malala Fund on the VR film Girl Icon (SXSW, Forbes Top 50 VR Experiences), and composed for world-premiere theatrical productions including Am I Roxie? at the Geffen Playhouse, and productions by Ammunition Theatre Company, The Road, and Echo Theater Company.
He is currently in development on Only These Beautiful Moments, an original musical based on the Stonewall and Lambda Award winning novel by Abdi Nazemian.
As a recording artist, Saleh has released four IMA-nominated albums that blend troubadour traditions with gypsy, tango, and electronic music. His 2017 album Antoinette reached #1 on the Merging Arts World Music Charts.
